Term 4: Lego Social Skills Group
Do you have a child with social difficulties, who loves LEGO? Perhaps your child is shy, unsure how to approach others, or not sure what to say. They might have difficulty playing with others and keeping an interaction going, or they may need a bit of confidence. Children with and without diagnoses of high-functioning autism are welcome. Our LEGO Social Skills Group may be the perfect environment to capture their interest and enable them to practice social skills in a safe and supported manner.
This group will be operating in Term 4, 2020 and will run for 8 weeks on a weekday at 4pm, facilitated by a psychologist and therapy assistant.
The program is suited to boys and girls aged 6-9 who are interested in LEGO, have established skills in regulating their behaviour and impulses, and would benefit from a supported place to practice their social skills. Click here to fill in an expression of interest form.
Children whose difficulties are primarily impulsive or oppositional will not benefit from this program.
